As one travels, the question is raised
over and over about packing, courtesy, tipping and health issues. We
cannot answer for every tour in every country, but we can give some
hints, and they are attached here. In Europe, for example, health,
dining, water, sanitation and the rest is virtually the same as in
the USA, if not better. And it was a shock to me to find that
tipping a taxi driver is an insult in Argentina! What we can say is
that one should travel with patience, an open mind, and ZERO
expectation that anything will be like it is in the USA. Enjoy the
food, the leisurely lifestyle, and the unique smells. Ask
courteously, and do without. Be a good ambassador, roll with the
punches, and savor the stories you will tell on your return.
